MSA is pleased to announce the appointment of Sean Spromberg, PE, as the firm’s newest Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP) trustee.
A trustee plays an integral role in ESOP governance, serving as a legal shareholder for the ESOP Trust, with primary fiduciary duties as defined by the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). MSA voted to become a 100% employee-owned firm in July of 2017, and was named 2018 Company of the Year by the Wisconsin Chapter of the ESOP Association.
“Sean already lends so much of his talent and enthusiasm to the firm and to MSA’s Employee Ownership Committee, commented John Langhans, PE, MSA vice president and Land service line lead. “As the chair of the committee and a fellow ESOP trustee, I have seen first-hand Sean’s passion for the employee ownership model. He is a natural fit for this role and we genuinely look forward to his contributions.”
Spromberg serves as a Mobility team leader based in Marshfield, Wisconsin. He earned his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Michigan State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in both California and Wisconsin. Sean is an active member of the firm’s Employee Ownership Committee and has over 20 years of experience in transportation, structural, municipal, site civil engineering and park and recreation projects. He joined MSA in May of 2016.
