The Wisconsin Rural Water Association (WRWA) announced recently the selection of MSA’s Daniel Greve, PE, for the 2018 Lifetime Achievement Award. Since 1989, WRWA has recognized individuals who have demonstrated excellence throughout their careers in the Wisconsin water and wastewater industries.
Dan has served Wisconsin’s small and rural communities for over 38 years—30 of which have been with MSA, providing innovative solutions to water and wastewater issues. He represents a dedicated and sustained commitment to bringing safe drinking water and effective wastewater treatment to communities throughout the state. His expertise extends across a wide variety of successful projects, including all elements of water, wastewater and municipal water systems: source development, storage, treatment, pumping and distribution. Projects aside, Dan lends his time to educating and mentoring colleagues across the board, sharing industry knowledge and encouraging a new generation of engineers.
“Dan’s devotion to the industry, to communities throughout the state and to MSA over his long career is exemplary. His critical thinking skills and attention to detail have been an incredible asset to MSA and the clients we serve. We are excited that his talents and efforts have been recognized by this award, and thank him for his outstanding contributions,” said Rob Uphoff, southwest municipal program manager at MSA.
Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a master’s in environmental engineering from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Wisconsin and a steadfast supporter of the WRWA, involved in attending and presenting at technical conferences. He is also a member of the Water Environment Federation, American Water Works Association, Wisconsin Wastewater Operators Association and the Society of Water Professionals.
