MSA is proud to recognize the accomplishments of Eugene Hietpas, PE, who recently earned Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
Eugene joined MSA in 2022 and serves as transportation project manager within the firm’s Mobility service line. Based in Appleton, Wisconsin, he has over 20 years of experience in project engineering, management, inspection and construction administration for a variety of public and private clients. Eugene also has extensive experience working with county governments and state departments of transportation (DOTs), with an emphasis on structure construction and inspection work. He holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and is a licensed sUAS remote pilot through the Federal Aviation Administration.
To earn a PE license, engineers must hold a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited engineering program, work under a professional engineer for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams and earn a license from the state licensure board. PE licensure is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence – a symbol of achievement, assurance of quality and commitment to ethical standards of practice.
“I’m thrilled to congratulate Eugene on achieving PE licensure,” commented Mike Statz, chief operating officer at MSA. “Since joining MSA in 2022, he has undertaken a number of immense, complex construction management projects in both Wisconsin and Iowa, continuing to solidify great working relationships with DOTs and clients across the region. His commitment to his work and pursuit of quality are evident in receiving PE licensure and I look forward to his contributions moving forward.”
