The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), Wisconsin Section, recently announced its selection of MSA Senior Transportation Project Engineer Eric Frailing, PE, PTOE, as the Section’s new president for 2025.
ITE is an international society of transportation professionals dedicated to meeting mobility and safety needs of all users. The Wisconsin Section of the organization is comprised of approximately 300 engineers, planners, technicians, administrators, teachers, students, and manufacturers, with a purpose of enabling transportation and traffic professionals in Wisconsin to collaborate, educate, research, and promote the profession’s goals and pursuits.
Eric has been an active member of the ITE since joining as a student in 2002. He received the ITE Wisconsin Section’s Martin Bruening Award in 2009 and the Section’s Young Professional Award in 2018. He joined the Section’s Board of Directors in 2021, having most recently served as the Section’s Vice President in 2024. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, and is a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE).
Eric joined MSA in 2016 as part of the acquisition of the Ourston Roundabout Engineering group. He has over 17 years of experience in the planning, design, and management of transportation projects throughout the Midwest and across the United States, including roundabout and traffic signal design projects, intersection control evaluations, traffic modeling and impact analysis, large/oversized vehicle analysis, Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) compliance, and safety reviews.
