MSA is proud to recognize the accomplishments of Jordan Hostetler, PE, who recently earned Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the state of Iowa.
To earn a PE license, engineers must hold a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited engineering program, work under a professional engineer for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams and earn a license from the state licensure board. PE licensure is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence – a symbol of achievement, assurance of quality and commitment to ethical standards of practice.
Hostetler joined MSA in 2019 and serves as a public works engineer in Des Moines. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa with an emphasis on water, wastewater and stormwater management. Jordan’s expertise spans a wide range of municipal engineering projects including street design, GIS collection and mapping, water supply and distribution system design and construction observation.
“I’m proud to congratulate Jordan on attaining PE licensure,” commented Mike Statz, chief operating officer at MSA. “Achieving one’s PE is a significant professional milestone and mark of dedication and quality. I look forward to his continued contributions to the industry — and to the public works and water projects we complete for communities across Iowa.”
