MSA is proud to recognize the accomplishments of Macen Leonardi, PE, who recently earned Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
Macen joined MSA in 2020 and serves as a plumbing engineer in the firm’s Milwaukee office location. He has over five years of experience in the design of plumbing systems, including domestic water, stormwater and sanitary drainage, natural gas, compressed air, and fire protection systems for public and private clients — as well as multiple school districts across the state of Wisconsin. Macen earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and holds Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) AP BD+C credentials from the U.S. Green Building Council.
To earn a PE license, engineers must hold a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited engineering program, work under a professional engineer for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams and earn a license from the state licensure board. PE licensure is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence – a symbol of achievement, assurance of quality and commitment to ethical standards of practice.
“Huge congratulations to Macen for receiving PE licensure,” commented Mike Statz, chief operating officer at MSA. “This is a milestone professional achievement and marker of an individual’s commitment to their trade and to quality workmanship. Macen is a key player on our firm’s Buildings and MEP team. I look forward to his continued contributions and applaud him on this excellent milestone.”
