MSA announced today the achievement of employee owner Emily Soderberg, AICP, in earning American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.

AICP certification is awarded to professional planners who successfully pass the AICP Certification Exam and prove competency with the institute’s standards, theories, and tools of professional planning. The AICP is the only independent verification of planners’ qualifications in the United States and is a mark of the highest standards of practice, ethics and professional conduct.
Emily joined MSA in 2022 and serves as a planning project manager in the firm’s Madison office. Her experience includes the development of community park, recreation, environmental, and land use plans, comprehensive plans, and comprehensive outdoor recreation plans. Emily also has six years of experience within the sustainability sector, including work with industrial compost management, rooftop farming, food system research, and solar energy system design. She holds a master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Michigan as well as a bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Built Environments from the University of Arizona Honors College.
“I’m excited to congratulate Emily on achieving AICP certification” commented Stephen Tremlett, AICP, planning team leader at MSA. “Emily is a proven leader and excellent planner, and I look forward to her contributions to our firm and the clients we serve in the years to come.”
