MSA announced today a new accreditation for community planner Lauren Dietz, AICP, as well as her move to MSA’s Milwaukee office.
Dietz recently earned American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification, highlighting her commitment to the institute’s high standards of practice, ethics and professional conduct. Lauren has served clients across the country since joining MSA’s Planning + Design Studio in 2021, applying expertise in comprehensive planning, zoning administration, health care services siting, parks and recreation and active mobility planning.
Dietz earned a Master’s of Business Administration in management and strategy from the Iowa State University Ivy College of Business, a degree in community and regional planning from the Iowa State University College of Design, and a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Northern Iowa. She has a particular interest in active mobility projects — helping communities establish safe, equitable, scalable pedestrian, bicycle and multi-modal trails, transportation corridors and amenities. Her work on transportation improvement projects includes award-winning public engagement and long-range active mobility planning, strategic planning processes, plan document development and oversight of facility design and construction.
“We’re very excited to congratulate Lauren on her AICP certification and welcome her to our growing Milwaukee office,” commented Jason Valerius, AICP, senior planner and team leader at MSA. “Her experience in bicycle and pedestrian transportation planning, comprehensive planning and zoning administration is valuable to many of our clients, and we’re thrilled to have Lauren located in our downtown Milwaukee office while continuing to serve clients across the Midwest and the nation.”
