MSA announced today the opening of its expanded new Madison office, a move that positions the firm to continue its growth and broaden its capabilities within the south-central region of Wisconsin.
The new office is located on Pankratz Street near the Dane County Regional Airport, a partner project of MSA and Sullivan designBUILD, who provided both design and construction services. The companies broke ground on July 18, 2018 for the 17,000-square-foot facility, a space that will house a team of over 70 MSA employees, with room to continue to accommodate additional full-time staff and a growing internship program.
“We are thrilled at the opportunity to increase our team and expand our capabilities within the Madison community,” commented Mike Statz, PE, chief operating officer at MSA. “Madison has been home to many of us for a long time, and we are so grateful for the support from our clients and partners who have helped to make this move possible.”
The company has a long and dedicated relationship with the City of Madison and other Dane County communities such as the City of Sun Prairie, Village of Cottage Grove and Village of Belleville, lending its services to a wide variety of community endeavors including street reconstruction, master planning, sewer and water, bicycle trail, parks and recreation, and stormwater management. This list also includes the redesign of State Street/Library Mall, a project that was awarded a Project of the Year Award by the Wisconsin chapter of the American Public Works Association. University of Wisconsin-Madison projects include the Campus Drive Multi-use Path and Bridge which was awarded Best Engineering Project of the Year by the State of Wisconsin, Division of Facility Development.
“Madison has been a key part of our firm’s trajectory for a long time,” said Mike Maloney, program manager at the MSA Madison office. “We are committed to continuing to give back to this great community, and to help make it the best it can be.”
MSA opened its original Madison office in July of 1996—the fourth office location for the firm—which is now comprised of nearly 350 professionals operating from 16 offices across six states. In early 2019, the Milwaukee Business Journal ranked MSA the third-largest engineering firm in Wisconsin for the third consecutive year. They also consistently climb ranks in the Engineering News Record’s Top 500 Design Firms annual report. MSA opened doors at their new facility this week, with plans for a grand opening and ribbon cutting to be announced in the future.
