MSA is proud to recognize the accomplishments of employee owner Michael Pook, PE, who recently earned Professional Engineer licensure in the state of Minnesota.

To earn a PE license, engineers must hold a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited engineering program, gain experience under a licensed professional engineer, pass two intensive competency exams and earn a license from the state licensure board. PE licensure is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence — a symbol of achievement, assurance of quality and commitment to ethical standards of practice.

Michael serves as a structural engineer on the firm’s Mobility service line and is based in St. Paul, Minnesota. He joined MSA in 2026 with over three years of experience in structural engineering and bridge design. Michael is engaged in the design and plan production for municipal, county, and DOT bridge projects of all sizes, with expertise in steel, timber, and concrete design. He holds both a master’s degree and bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Marquette University.
