MSA recognizes the accomplishments of Public Works Engineer Matt Wathke, PE, who recently received Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.
To earn a PE license, engineers must hold a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited engineering program, work under a professional engineer for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams and earn a license from the state licensure board. PE licensure is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence – a symbol of achievement, assurance of quality and commitment to ethical standards of practice.
Wathke joined MSA in 2018 and serves as a public works engineer in the firm’s Madison location. His experience spans a broad range of municipal and project management work including roadway and utility improvements, environmental compliance, site planning, site development, and bidding administration. Wathke earned a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
I’m pleased to congratulate Matt on receiving PE licensure,” commented Mike Statz, chief operating officer. “This is a milestone achievement in the professional engineering career track and I look forward to Matt’s continued contributions to the profession, and to the clients and communities he assists.”
