MSA is proud to recognize the accomplishments of employee owner MacKenzie Phillips, PE, who recently earned Professional Engineer licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
To earn a PE license, engineers must hold a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited engineering program, work under a professional engineer for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams and earn a license from the state licensure board. PE licensure is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence – a symbol of achievement, assurance of quality and commitment to ethical standards of practice.
MacKenzie is a wastewater engineer on MSA’s Water service line and is based in Madison, Wisconsin. She joined the firm in 2020 as an intern before being hired full time in 2021 and has over four years of experience in wastewater treatment facility planning, design, permitting, compliance, and construction observation for projects across the state. She earned a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
“I’m pleased to congratulate MacKenzie on attaining PE licensure,” commented Mike Statz, chief operating officer at MSA. “This is a significant professional milestone and proof of dedication to integrity and quality of work. MacKenzie is doing incredible work on our organization’s Water service line and I look forward to watching her continue to grow and thrive in the years to come.”
