Applicant Insights
We were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the student applications, many of them discussing participation in diverse volunteer and leadership experiences, with a common theme being a strong interest in math, science and the environment.
“As life continues to prosper on Earth, new and innovative solutions to our ever-changing problems will need to be discovered. A basis of science, technology and mathematics will aid me in being a part of the solution. My pursuit of this degree is one in which I hope to change the world for the better, help others who may be struggling and make steps toward leaving a positive impact on the world we live in for many generations to come,” said Amanda Kaiser.
Adam Buseman stated, “I have learned first-hand the impact of the environment on agriculture through my FFA-supervised agricultural experience (SAE). For my SAE, I ran a farmer’s market operation, which taught me many soft skills as well as allowed me to interact with the environment. This is something I really enjoyed and it taught me to appreciate agriculture as well as the environment that allows agriculture to thrive.”
“MSA enables people to positively impact the lives of others.” Our Purpose Statement says it all, and we hope these scholarships encourage young engineers to continue to reach for their goals so that we can create a stronger, more sustainable world—together.
