On June 4, the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) announced the award of $4.6 million to 14 communities across Iowa for water and sewer infrastructure projects. The IEDA made the awards through the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, based upon the benefit provided to low- and moderate-income persons, financial need, project impact and readiness and/or the commitment of local resources to the project.
MSA is pleased to congratulate the communities of Ladora and Oxford Junction for their funding success in these highly competitive awards! The City of Ladora will receive $283,000 for wastewater plant improvements, and the City of Oxford Junction will receive $300,000 for improvements to their sanitary sewer system. Both projects will be supplemented with Iowa DNR State Revolving Fund loans.
