Katy brings over 25 years of experience to the role of chief strategy officer at MSA. She is proficient in the leadership and execution of strategic growth initiatives across public and private sectors, with deep expertise in global business development, mergers and acquisitions, organizational integration and growth, and building high-performing teams.
Based in Baraboo, Wisconsin, Katy leads the development and execution of the firm’s long-term strategic initiatives and growth opportunities, optimization of business processes, enhancement of organizational performance, and alignment with MSA’s mission and goals.
Prior to joining MSA in 2025, Katy was founder and lead consultant at Sinnott & Assoc., and vice president of global trade and investment at the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) where she played a key role in expanding Wisconsin’s international business footprint and attracting companies to expand in Wisconsin. Earlier in her career, she was a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company, where she advised Fortune 500 companies on growth, operational transformation, and market expansion.
Katy holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and was awarded a Yale University scholarship for Mandarin studies at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
