When an F2 tornado tore through the Town of Silver Cliff in June 2022, it left widespread devastation, including the complete loss of the community’s fire department building. Nearly three years later, resilience and collaboration were on full display as the Town celebrated the ribbon-cutting of its new 9,760-square-foot fire and emergency services facility — a modern, high-performing space designed to serve the community for decades to come.
MSA partnered with Silver Cliff to lead the architectural vision and deliver comprehensive in-house services: structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and site/civil engineering. The project also included design of a new well and septic system and coordination of a Petition for Variance with Wisconsin DSPS to address sprinkler requirements for sleeping quarters.

Beyond design, MSA guided the Town through a complex funding strategy. Our team prepared bid-ready drawings and specifications to secure a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), aligning project phases with grant timelines and ensuring compliance throughout. From contractor coordination and site visits to documentation and final closeout, MSA provided full bidding and construction administration services.

The result is more than a building—it’s a symbol of recovery and preparedness. The new fire and rescue facility restores critical emergency infrastructure, enhances operational efficiency, and strengthens long-term community resilience in the wake of disaster.
