Curt serves as an operations leader for MSA’s Buildings service line as well as market lead for new and existing institutional clients across Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Former president of Muermann Engineering, a division of MSA, Curt has over 31 years of expertise with a wide array of educational, commercial and municipal facility projects.
Curt specializes in lighting, power distribution, and special systems design and is knowledgeable in the areas of computer networking, phone systems, data distribution, CATV distribution, fire alarms, CCTV, and security. He has provided design services for building power distribution, building lighting, emergency power systems, uninterruptible power systems (UPS), building alarm systems, building intercom, telephone and public address systems, telecommunication systems and data cable distribution, process control systems, motor controls, lightning and surge suppression.
Curt attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering’s Electrical Program, studied civil and structural engineering at Moraine Park Technical College, electrical systems at the Hughes Institute, electrical system design at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and earned his Commercial and Industrial Lighting Certificate from the Illuminating Engineering Society of America (IES). He is a registered designer of electrical engineering systems in the state of Wisconsin and a member of both the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Instrument Society of America (ISA).
