MSA is proud to recognize the accomplishments of Water Resources Engineer Makenzie Gingras, PE, who recently earned Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in the state of Wisconsin.

To earn a PE license, engineers must hold a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited engineering program, work under a professional engineer for at least four years, pass two intensive competency exams and earn a license from the state licensure board. PE licensure is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence – a symbol of achievement, assurance of quality and commitment to ethical standards of practice.
Makenzie joined MSA’s Marshfield office in 2019 before transferring to the firm’s Madison office in 2021 where she serves as a water resources engineer on the Water service line. She has over four years of professional experience and is adept in the development of hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality computer modeling and engineering design. Makenzie holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and lends her talents to a wide variety of water resources and public works projects across the Midwest.
“I’m pleased to congratulate Makenzie on achieving PE licensure,” commented Mike Statz, chief operating officer at MSA. “She is a cornerstone member of our company’s stormwater team, providing modeling and design solutions for our clients. I commend her for her commitment to professional development and look forward to her future contributions to MSA and the communities we serve.”
