MSA is proud to recognize the accomplishments of employee owner Coty Weathersby, PE, who recently earned Professional Engineer licensure in the state of Wisconsin.

To earn a PE license, engineers must hold a four-year degree in engineering from an accredited engineering program, gain experience under a licensed professional engineer, pass two intensive competency exams and earn a license from the state licensure board. PE licensure is the engineering profession’s highest standard of competence — a symbol of achievement, assurance of quality and commitment to ethical standards of practice.

Coty serves as a wastewater engineer on the firm’s Water service line and is based in Madison, Wisconsin, where she joined MSA in 2023. She has more than four years of experience supporting municipal water and wastewater projects, including facility planning, design, process engineering, permitting, and construction observation. Her experience also includes bioreactor implementation and operation and biological nutrient removal studies. Coty earned a master’s degree in civil and environmental engineering and a bachelor’s degree in chemical and biological engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
