The Village of Cross Plains developed streetscaping and signage recommendations.

In conjunction with the WisDOT reconstruction project of US 14 through the Village of Cross Plains, the Village is developing plans and recommendations for streetscaping and signage to be installed during/after this reconstruction project.

MSA and the Village have partnered to prepare a plan with the following objectives:
  1. To develop an aesthetic design for signage and streetscaping elements within the US 14 corridor.
  2. To create new gateway signage to be placed at the main Village entryways along the US 14 corridor.
  3. To create a wayfinding system that focuses on directing visitors to key Village destination
  4. To develop a brand and promote the Village’s identity through these types of signs.
To facilitate the planning process, the Village convened a US 14 Streetscape Workgroup in order to assist in reviewing and making recommendations regarding the WisDOT US 14 project. The workgroup consists of residents, businesses, staff and other interested in working to make sure US 14 improvements leave a lasting positive impact on the community. MSA staff met with the workgroup six times between August 2014 and March 2015 to develop this plan.
