The owner of an 18-acre private lake in Columbia County wanted to improve the quality of fish and wildlife habitat on his property. MSA developed a plan to dredge approximately 13,400 cubic yards of peat and organic soils from the lake bottom to create deeper areas within the lake. The dredgeate disposal location contained a small pocket of wetland that MSA had identified and delineated prior to developing construction plans for the project. MSA's plans included provisions for preventing impacts to this wetland and to shoreland containing sensitive, emergent vegetation. Our team coordinated all permitting with the WDNR throughout the project.
