League of WI Municipalities unveils impact of state budget on municipalities [Audio Recording]

The changes to Wisconsin’s state budget have been dominating headlines for months. As Wisconsin moves into municipal budget season, it’s important for public officials to understand how those changes directly impact their communities.

MSA partnered with the League of Wisconsin Municipalities to explain the impacts of these changes. During a live broadcast on August 26, the League’s Assistant Director Curt Witynski shared a summary of Act 55, the 2015-2017 state budget bill, emphasizing the areas of the budget that will impact Wisconsin municipalities the most. You can listen to his entire presentation by clicking on the link below – his presentation included detailed explanations of the following budget changes:
  • Shared Revenue
  • Levy Limits
  • Transportation Aids
  • Room Taxes
  • Time of Sale Restrictions
  • Prevailing Wage Rates
  • Tax Exemptions
  • Property Tax Administration
  • Utility Charges

MSA is proud to be a 2015 Business Partner with the League of Wisconsin Municipalities. Staying up-to-date on the constant changes occurring at the state level can be challenging, and we’re committed to doing our part in educating Wisconsin’s communities about these changes and advocating on their behalves.  For more information on how these state budget changes impact your community, contact Randy Herwig, Client Service Manager.
