Inhelder Enjoys Public Service

Andrew Inhelder, PE, looks forward to providing comprehensive engineering services for municipalities. He has worked for both cities and private clients in the past, and found that it’s very rewarding to work for public clients.

“I enjoy working in the public sector where the project emphasis is on benefitting citizens,” Inhelder said. He will provide services for municipal infrastructure, including streets and utilities, from the MSA Des Moines office location.

Inhelder has six years of experience, previously working for the Institute of Transportation at Iowa State University, Iowa Department of Transportation and an Ames consulting firm.

Service Background

Inhelder grew up surrounded by discussions of surveying and civil engineering because his grandfather was a surveyor. In college, he obtained a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University.

During his childhood, Inhelder’s father was in the U.S. Air Force. As a result, his family moved every two years and he lived in eight different cities before graduating from high school.

“I have had the opportunity to meet a lot of great people,” he said.
