MSA announces that Sarah Gengler, PE, is now certified as a Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE).

This certification demonstrates her knowledge in this specialized traffic engineering field. She works out of the firm’s Madison office.

“I really enjoy the challenge of working on traffic engineering tasks and the satisfaction of completing a demanding and interesting project in order to make a community a better place to live.” she said.

Gengler provides a wide range of traffic engineering services and designs for state, local, and private clients throughout the Midwest. Project experience includes traffic engineering studies such as intersection control evaluations, traffic impact analyzes, traffic signal design, traffic calming studies, MUTCD compliance evaluation, and other traffic related services.

As a PTOE, she is well positioned to help communities enhance safety and efficiency by providing assurance that MSA is a capable partner in the traffic engineering specialty for future projects.

Gengler, with six years of experience, is one of two certified professional traffic operations engineers at MSA. Currently, only 66 engineers in the State of Wisconsin hold this certification.

Check out Gengler’s previous blog post which discusses how mini roundabouts offer the same operational benefits of conventional roundabouts, but utilize a smaller diameter and design footprint.

Gengler earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
