Chris Cooper, PE, CPESC, brings 33 years of experience to his role as senior project engineer based in MSA’s Quad Cities office.

His interest in drainage, erosion control, and water distribution will be of great benefit to our clients.

For Cooper, engineering is a family tradition—both his grandfather and father were engineers. He enjoys the key elements of this profession.

“I like working with people, number crunching, and designing a plan and then seeing it built and serving its purpose,” he said.

In addition, Cooper’s career allows him to pursue his interest in water resources. He is a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and New York, and a certified professional in erosion and sediment control (CPESC).

Cooper’s experience includes performing municipal engineering and railroad and highway work for a Rockford, Illinois, engineering firm, where he provided drainage and erosion control services. He also worked on residential and commercial development projects for a Rochester, New York, firm.

Cooper earned a Master of Science degree in Water Resources Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University, and a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
